Janome Mangolia 7318 Stitch Patterns
While many listings describe this machine as having 18 built-in stitches, there are really 22 in total. Most other machines include the buttonhole stitch and any off-center stitches in their count except this one. That's important to note when comparing it to another machine which may have those stitches in their count.
These stitches cover the range from utility to decorative including straight, zigzag, blind hem, shell, satin stitches, arrowhead, overcasting, stretch stitches, knit stitch, overedge stitches, smocking and a four-step buttonhole stitch. Stitch width is adjustable to 5mm and length is adjustable to 4mm.
Janome Magnolia 7318 Presser Feet
There are a total of four snap-on style presser feet: General Purpose, Zipper, Blind Hem, and the Sliding Buttonhole foot. The presser foot height has three settings: down, up and extra up (also called "industrial") to accommodate thicker layers of fabric. Presser feet are easy to change and store nicely in the accessory compartment.

All of the upgrades that make thread flow smoothly and that make the machine easy to use are included such as a top loading, drop-in bobbin system they call "jam proof" and horizontal top thread delivery.
Thread tension has an automatic setting but is also dial adjustable for flexible stitch control. The bobbin cover is see-through so you don't have to remove it to check thread remaining before starting a project. There is also an extra spool pin so you can load the bobbin without unthreading the machine.
This sewing machine uses a box feed system and has drop feed dog functionality for free motion embroidery sewing, darning, and quilting. The extension arm removes so you can perform free-arm sewing. Needle position is variable from center up to 5 settings to the left. A convenient lever-style quick-reverse button is located on the front of the machine.
There is a built in, retractable carrying handle at the top and a work lamp over the work space. The accessory kit holds extra needles, bobbins, a screwdriver, lint brush, seam ripper, spool caps, and felt cushion for spool pins.
